Season three of The Night Shiftbegins Wednesday evening on NBC (10 pm et/pt), as the crew at San Antonio Medical Center treat a woman who was severely hurt in a car accident. Jennifer Beals, who was recently seen in the suspense thriller Manhattan Night, joins the ensemble in a recurring role as Doctor Syd Jennings, an Army Major who works with Dr,. Drew Alister (Brendan Fehr) in Afghanistan.
