The New York Post has shared an interview with Scott Wolf ahead of the June 1st season 3 premiere of "The Night Shift" speaking about the importance of an honest portrayal of a medical doctor on television. Below is an excerpt from the interview:
“It’s extremely important [that] the people who really do this work could watch and feel we’re in our own way honoring the work they all do,” he says, noting that the show has medical advisors on set — and that he himself prepped for his role by shadowing a pediatric cardio thoracic surgeon at UCLA.
“The last thing that any of us wants is for a doctor or nurse to watch the show and think, ‘That’s not how it goes at all,’ ” says Wolf, who not so long ago also played doctors on “Everwood” (2004-06) and “The Nine” (2006-07).
