Season 3 Premiere Date set for June 1st


Third Season of High-Octane Medical Drama Premieres June 1 While Team Competition Series Receives June 13 Preview With Powerhouse “American Ninja Warrior” as Lead-In UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. — April 1, 2016 — NBC has set Wednesday, June 1 (10-11 p.m.) as the premiere date for the third season of its medical drama series “The Night Shift” and Monday, June 13 (10-11 p.m.) as the preview of the highly anticipated new alternative competition series “Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge.” The Night Shift” focuses on a team of doctors and nurses at San Antonio Memorial’s emergency room that are anything but ordinary. The risks they take to save lives straddle the line between heroic and impulsive, but are always worth it. “Night Shift” debuted in the summer of 2014 and scored as the #1 new series introduced on the Big 4 networks that summer in both adults 18-49 (1.9 rating, 6 share) and total viewers (8.5 million viewers overall). Its second season aired during the spring of 2015 as “Night Shift” averaged a 1.8/6 in adults 18-49 and 7.0 million viewers overall, keeping NBC within 0.4 of a rating point of the time-period lead during its run in the competitive Monday 10-11 p.m. ET hour. The series stars Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Ken Leung, Brendan Fehr, Robert Bailey Jr., JR Lemon, Tanaya Beatty and Scott Wolf. The Night Shift” is produced by Sony Pictures Television. Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah (“Freaks and Geeks,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”) serve as executive producers and writers.
